I am a current medical student in Texas, and we recently learned about I-cell disease in our biochemistry course. I started doing some web searching about the disorder and found your blog. I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your story. It is easy in school, with all the different things we are learning, to focus on disease and all the medical facts surrounding it. Sometimes, we lose sight of the real patient and the family behind all of that. That is what really matters. Your blog really helped put things into perspective again for me and reminded me why I want to go into this profession. Gabrielle is such a beautiful angel. Thank you for sharing her, and your story, with the world.
